Senior GL Accountant

Accounting / Finance
On behalf of our partner we are looking for a Senior GL Accountant.
• Performing GL accounting and controlling tasks e.g. review general ledger detail and expense to identify and record required adjustments and reclassifications.
• Prepare monthly journal entries e.g. accruals
• Maintaining high quality of accounting books
• Responsible of accounting reporting for both Group and Statutory purposes; e.g. ensure that all bookings are appropriately allocated by outsourcing provider on GL accounts /cost centers
• First point of contact for external partners to which accounting- and tax processes are outsourced (payroll, accountancy, local legislation compliance);
• Provide data to the outsourced partner regarding statutory financial statement and tax returns (CIT, VAT)
• Handles the Finance part of the company’s Intrastat reporting
• Responsible for all statutory fiscal declarations accuracy and keeping deadlines;
• Provide internal and external auditors with requested documentation
• First point of contact for internal stakeholders and ad hoc financial queries;
• Comply with general Danfoss policies & procedures and all legal requirements
• Assist with identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives.
• Support merger and acquisition initiatives.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned
• At least Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accounting with 2-3 years of experience in finance & accounting as well as in taxes; experience in a multinational company, ideally with partly outsourced accounting will be an advantage
• Very good knowledge of the Hungarian accounting principles, legislation and fiscal knowledge;
• Chartered Accountant able to sign notes to Financial Statements
• Experience in preparation of tax reporting (VAT , CIT and local taxes)
• Proficiency with MS Outlook and Office applications. Good knowledge of MS Excel is essential;
• Proficiency in Hungarian and English – good level of verbal/ reading/ writing;
• SAP user skills will be considered as a major advantage
• Check the compliance of all documents issued or received by accounting department against relevant legal or internal requirements’
